What type of car am I?

Holly, you're a Sedan
Who cares if the paint job is almond brown or eggshell white? The car for you is a solid, simple Sedan. We're thinking a Toyota Camry, a Lexus, or even a Benz. Pure comfort and smooth sailing is what you desire, with as little contact with the outside world as possible. From your airtight cabin, you want to get to and fro without difficulties or stress—and keep a classy but low profile. You're the classic, successful American, on your way to the mall, the movie theatre, or a charming bed and breakfast. Your personality is calm, cool, and collected—as polished as the shine on that freshly washed hood. You don't look to be provocative and don't give anyone any trouble; you just treat your little car well and expect it to return the favor. As long as it gets its regular checkups, your wheels are as reliable and dependable as you. Thanks to your trusty sedan, you can be sure to make all your meetings and save a few on rising gas bills. Vive le sedan.

April 19, 2001-- Just to let you all know, I'm still alive. I'm working on a redesign for the main page hence why I haven't posted any entries. It's going to be really nice when I'm done though, I promise. Plus, I'm adding a couple of pages. Lots of new stuff in the works!

This one goes into the weird customer call files. I got a call for one of our publishers and the woman on the other end says, "Can you use skin care products while your pregnant?" Obviously a wrong number, but this is the same line we've had the guy call twice and ask who he needs to talk to because he just shot a deer. Strange people out there.

I feel like a coward. I feel like I've been violated in ten different ways. I want to hide myself away from the prying eyes of the public and I want to stand up and fight back. All this conflicting emotions in me, sometimes it feels like there's two people in me at one time. I freaked again at work. I shouldn't have, but I did. D came up with another WB problem and then when I was trying to concentrate on that (math really isn't my strong suite), M came over and said I had an Anthro. customer on the line, who then proceeded to bitch about a past due invoice. Not really my department, so I transferred her to Kathy and as I'm doing that, D comes back over to my cube and starts typing on my second computer. Uh, excuse me, personal space here! I'm starting to calm down, but I get really stressed out when stuff like that happens.

3-21-01 Wendesday
Wow. I was just talking with S, our admin. assistant and she just gave her two weeks notice. Well, there goes being friends with her. :( She said she had just been in a bad accident this weekend (totalled her car and was in the hospital) and was re-examining her life. So, since her aunt gave her an opportunity in California, she's taking it. I have to admit, I'm surprised and sad to see her go. She said she's scared to leave her friends and family here, but California is a much better opportunity for her and she's taking it. I wish I had as much courage to leave Virginia.

Tasting the High Life
The Washington Post's first article on the wealth of Fairfax County which is where I lived until 1998. I now live in Loudoun which is right next to Fairfax.

Pampered and Priveleged
Part of the Washington Post's look at life in Fairfax County. This particular article is about the children of these wealthy parents. Do you know the West Springfield graduation party cost $60000?! What in the world costs that much?

Pledge Bill Weakens in House
Will this never end? Some moron from Fairfax County wants to force kids in school to say the Pledge every morning or else they get suspended from school. And then when the Education Committee tells him no, he calls them Communist sympathizers. Come on, grow up!

What's In A Name?
Interesting article of how Washington D.C. became Washington, District of Columbia.

The White House
This used to be a kick-ass website, now it's just the tattered remains of a good website. :(

Inaguration Traffic
The only good thing about the government being on liberal leave tomorrow means that Jeremy will have a good drive into work. I can't believe Bush wouldn't reschedule, he really has no idea what rush hour in the Metro area looks like.

Justice Bypassed In Traffic Court
Exactly what I was saying. I mean when the fine for parking in a handicapped space is more than reckless driving, there's a problem.

Man Rides Entire Metro System in One Day
I always wondered what it would be like to do that. Jeremy and I have had lots of adventures just taking the Metro to different parts of D.C. and exploring. Maybe someday they'll actually expand it out to Centreville (like they want to) and Georgetown (which would be ideal).

Tax Hike in Northern Va.
Oh joy, more taxes. If they let us vote, I hate to say I'd be in favor of raising taxes, but only for transportation projects, not education. The education system is messed up already, throwing more money at it isn't going to help any and VDOT needs the money.

Washington D.C. Hotels Fill Up
Guess I won't be going to see the pandas this weekend. :( I hate when I can't get into D.C.
